Sylvester Stallone confirmed the existence of a new "Rambo" movie at Comic Con this past week, and he also revealed the villains will be none other than the Islamic State, the hated terrorist group also known as ISIS.
"We have teams scouting Iraq and parts of Syria where ISIS have their greatest strongholds," Stallone said, according to The Washington Times. "We're working with the locals there to help deliver the most intense and realistic Rambo movie experience ever."
Filming on "Rambo: Last Blood" was originally expected to begin late last year or early this year, but it was delayed. Stallone last appeared as John Rambo in 2008's "Rambo," where Rambo joined a group of mercenaries in war-torn Thailand to rescue a group of kidnapped aid workers. Now 68, Stallone is reprising two of his major film characters, with his reprisal as Rocky Balboa in "Creed" expected to arrive later this year.
"Rambo: Last Blood" will release sometime in 2016.
